Learn elements of basic lace design and how to construct and block a triangular shawl in this class, based on the book Knitting Lace Triangles by Evelyn A. Clark.
Prerequisites: Lace 2 OR Big Pi Shawl OR equivalent skills OR instructor approval.
Materials:
- Yarn: may use anything from sport-weight to lace-weight; yardage varies according to your choice of size and motifs for the shawl. We will discuss this in the first class session, so you may want to hold off on purchasing your yarn until after the first class session.
- Needles: (suggested) any size between US4 and US9, depending on the size of shawl that you'd like to make and the weight of the yarn you'd like to use. To be discussed in the first class session.
- Knitting Lace Triangles by Evelyn A. Clark - students for the class may purchase the book for $12.56 + tax (standard retail price is $17.95).

Sessions: This class is a long-term project class. The registration fee covers the first class session on November 6, from 1 - 3 PM, and one other class session from November 13 until January 15, 2011. (Class sessions will be on Saturdays from 1 - 3 PM.) You may attend as many of the other two-hour class sessions as you wish for $5 per class session. Please register separately for additional class sessions.
