Shelly Stilger opened Twist in July, 2007. An avid knitter and
crocheter for nine years, Shelly did her best to spread her addiction
by teaching anyone who would sit still for a minute and hold two
needles or a hook.
As she sat listening to the members of her knitting group talk about
the latest designs and great new yarns, she realized that everyone
was either buying them online or leaving town to get them. That's
when she decided to bring them to Wichita. And Twist, fashion-
forward and loiter-friendly, was born.
